Civil Process
The Civil Process Division of the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office is responsible, as mandated by the Tennessee Constitution, State Statutes and the court Decree in the service, processing and execution of all Criminal/Civil Process of the Sequatchie County Circuit Court, including subpoenas, writs of execution, garnishment, restitution, and attachment, orders of protection and injunctions against harassment, as well as various other in- and out-of-state court documents.
The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office will see that any order of protection or injunction against harassment is served no matter what court the order is out of. Orders of Protection can be served at any time.
Due to the nature of the court proceedings and procedures, deputies will only serve processes Monday-Friday during hours that are authorized by state statutes (excluding holidays). All processes will be served in accordance with Tennessee Statutes and Tennessee Rules of Civil procedures unless otherwise directed in writing by the court order (please allow 2-3 weeks for service).
